This is a Shungite pyramid measuring 2 1/4" square x nearly 1 3/8"
tall. This pyramid is super nice and makes a lovely display.
This is a similar to like item.
The term "shungite" was originally used in 1879 to describe a
mineraloid with more than 98 percent carbon. More recently the term has
also been used to describe shungite-bearing rocks, leading to some
confusion. Shungite has to date mainly been found in Russia. Shungite has
been used in medical treatment since the early 18th-century. "Peter the
Great" set up Russia's first spa to utilize the water purifying properties
of shungite and instigated its use in providing purified water for the
Russian army. The anti-bacterial properties of shungite have been
confirmed by modern testing.

the most common form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of
many colored Marble varieties are usually due to various mineral
impurities such as Clay, Silt, Sand, Iron Oxides or Chert. |

Calcite is a Carbonate mineral that is most widely distributed on the
Earth's surface. It is a common constituent of sedimentary rocks with
Limestone in particular. A Calcite formation can take on many different
shapes and sizes which is dependent on the location, ground water
occurrence and temperature. Calcite is usually white or colorless but can
be gray, red, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown or black. The deeper the
color is usually indicative of the definitive impurities from the earth or
water.

Pyrite, or Iron Pyrite, is an Iron sulfide with isometric Crystals
that usually appear as cubes. It is brittle and can break or powder
easily. Its metallic luster and brass yellow hue have earned it the
nickname of "fool's gold" due to many miners mistaken it for the real
thing. Ironically, small quantities of actual gold are sometimes found in
Pyrite. It is the most common of the sulfide minerals and is usually
found with other sulfides or oxides in Quartz veins, sedimentary or
metamorphic rocks.
