a Tiger Eye Giraffe and a Crystal Quartz Frog. Each carving measures
approximately 3/4" to 1" depending on the type of carving. These little

a very sweet, really pretty light Pink Rose Quartz Angel. She measures
1 3/4" x 1" and has a nice polish. She is carved holding her hands but
has no facial features. A great pocket piece for yourself or a gift
for another. Rose Quartz is a type of Quartz which exhibits a pale
pink to rose red hue. The color is usually considered as due to trace
amounts of Titanium, Iron or Manganese, in the massive material. Some
Rose Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism
in transmitted light.

This is a beautifully carved Tiger Eye Horse. It measures 2" in length
by 1 1/2" in width.
Tiger-Eye is a gemstone that is usually yellow to red-brown in color
with a silky luster. This gemstone has an optical reflectance effect
that arises from the fibrous structure of the material. The physical
and optical properties are identical or very near to those of a single Quartz
Crystal.

This is a carved Elephant made from Malachite. It measures
2 1/2" x 2 1/4" and has a nice polish. A very neat, different carving
for your collection. Item will be similar to item in photo.
Malachite is a Copper Carbonate mineral. It most often forms botryoidal,
fibrous or stalagmitic masses. It is often the result of the weathering
of Copper Ores and is usually found with Azurite, Goethite and Calcite.
It has a vibrant green color and each specimen has its own unique design.
Although Malachite is consider toxic, when ingested, in the rough, natural
form, it is safe to handle in its polished state.

Here is a set of three carved Bears made from Mexican Onyx. Each
one measures 1 5/8" in length and 1 1/2" in height. The Onyx has been
dyed to enhance the color. This would make a nice addition to your collection.

Here is a very nice, very beautiful Big Horn Sheep Ram carved from Picture
Jasper. He measures 1 1/2" x 2" with a nice polish. Jasper is
a unpredictable, very beautiful gemstone that is sure to please just about
anyone. Big Horn Sheep are native to the Black Hills in South Dakota.
If you can visit to see one, then you can purchase one from the gift department.
Jasper is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz that is usually red, yellow
or brown in color. Jasper can appear as an opaque rock with shades of
red due to mineral impurities. Patterns can arise from the formation
process and flow patterns in the sediment or volcanic ash that was saturated
with silica which formed the banding or swirling designs in the rock.

This is a beautiful Elephant carved from Dalmatian Stone. He measures
2 1/2" x 1 3/4" with a good polish. He has a good design and color scheme.
Jasper, or spotted stone, is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz that
is usually red, yellow or brown in color. Picture Jaspers simultaneously
exhibit several variants such as banding, flow patterns, dendrites or color
variations. This results in what appears to be scenes or images in a
cut section of the Jasper.

Here is a real neat, two-tone Turtle made from Unakite and Peach Aventurine.
He measures 1 3/4" x 3/4" and has a nice polish. Unakite is
an altered Granite composed of pink Feldspar, green Epidote and clear Quartz.
It exists in various shades of green and pink and is usually mottled in appearance.
Good quality Unakite is considered a semiprecious stone and will take a good
polish and is often used in jewelry and other lapidary work such as eggs,
spheres and carvings.
Aventurine is a form of Quartz that is characterized by its translucent
and mineral inclusions that give it a shimmering or glistening effect called
"aventurescence". The most common color is green but it may also be
orange, brown, yellow, blue or grey.

Here is a great looking double Turtle carving made from Soapstone.
The larger outer Turtle measures 3 1/2" long and 1 1/2" tall with the inner
Turtle that measures approximately 1 1/2" long and 1" tall. The inner
Turtle was carved without disrupting the outer Turtle. It is in one
piece. A nice addition to any collection. |

Here is a very cute pig carved from Dalmatian stone. He measures 1 1/2"
x 1" with a nice polish. This would make a great pocket "pal" or addition
to your collection. Dalmatian Stone, or orbicular Rhyolite, is an
igneous rock that was formed by lava flows on the Earth's surface. The
spots or "orbs" probably occurred when molten lava reacted with fragments
of rock known as Xenoliths. These stones are light to dark tan in color
with black spots throughout. The nickname "Dalmatian" was given to this
unusual looking mineral because of its resemblance to a Dalmatian dog's spots.

This is a nice carved Rabbit made from Pink, White and Grey Rhodenite.
She measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" and has a nice polish. This Rabbit is a
super cute carving that would add to any collection. Rhodenite is a Manganese
Silicate material that is commonly a rose-red color with a tendency to turn
brown due to surface oxidation. It is often worked as an ornamental
stone as true Crystals are rare to find.

is a nice gemstone carving of a Brontosaurus made from White Fiber Optics.
It measures approximately 1" x 2 1/4" and has a nice polish. This really
cute guy has a very unique design and color mix. Fiber Optics are
used in information transmission lines for our telephones, cable television
and computers. This material is pure Silica which can aid in the transmission
of signals at great distances. Fiber Optics have an interesting characteristic
in that you can see thru the object in the direction that signals would pass
through. This is usually well enough to read print when it is laid on
a newspaper. This is similar to the eye or radiance you see in natural
Tiger-Eye stone.

from Opalite. He measures 2 1/8" in height and 1 3/8" in width and has
a very nice opalescent shine and color.
Opalite is a trade name for a man-made precious opal imitation.
It is usually made of glass or resin. Man-made or not, it is definitely
a beautiful "gem stone" and one of my personal favorites.
