$35.00 K303b  This is something new in the Rock Shed's educational department.  Here is a large packet of Black Hills Gold Concentrates from the west central hills of South Dakota.  This packet contains approximately 1 pound of a rich concentrated mix which has lots of Black Sand.  Even though these kits were designed for educational purposes, each Black kit will contain some Gold and colorful Garnets.

Although not guaranteed, here is what you may find
in this kit.

The gravel in these kits comes from local area Gold claims that are made special for the Rock Shed.  This material comes from the cleaning of the surface bedrock and scraping out of the cracks in the bedrock.  Although the Rock Shed can not guarantee the quantity of gold inside the kit, each Black kit will contain some coarser gold pickers and possibly small nuggets.

The gravel in these kits comes from local area Gold claims that are made special for the Rock Shed.  The gravel in these kits are from areas that are 1"-2" above the bedrock.  Although the Rock Shed can not guarantee the quantity of Gold inside the kit you will find some small flakes of Gold and colorful Garnets.

$12.00 K305b  This is something new in the Rock Shed's educational department.  Here is a large packet of Black Hills Gold Concentrates from the west central hills of South Dakota.  This packet contains approximately 1 pound of a rich concentrated mix which has lots of Black Sand.  Even though these kits were designed for educational purposes, each Yellow kit will contain fine Gold and colorful Garnets. 

The gravel in these kits comes from local area Gold claims that are made special for the Rock Shed.  The gravel in these kits are from areas that are 2"-4" above the bedrock.  Although the Rock Shed can not guarantee the quantity of Gold inside the kit, each Yellow kit will contain finer Gold and colorful Garnets.

$12.00 K306b  Here is a Gold Pan Starter Set that compliments any of the Gold Pan Kits listed above.  The Starter Set includes 1 large, 12" Black Gold Pan with 2 different types of Riffles; 1 clear plastic 2 oz. Snuffer bottle; and 1 small clear, collection bottle with a White cap to keep the Gold found during panning.  The pan is lightweight and easy to use for all ages.

$9.00 3K15  Here is a very nice, above average quality selection of Oco Geodes from Brazil.  The average size ranges from 1 1/2" to 3" and are polished on the front face.  Each Geode half has its own unique color and design with some very nice Crystals inside. 

You will receive 6 randomly selected Geodes.

$6.00 K300b  Here is a NEW really neat educational kit.  This is a Living Triops experiment.  Any child (or adult) can grow their very own Living Triops which are mini Tadpole Shrimp that resemble fossil Trilobites.  The dry packet is placed in a clear, clean glass jar at room temperature and in about 24-36 hours, you have tiny fairy shrimp.  After the shrimp have completed their cycle, just dry out the residue, add water and start all over again.  A great educational tool for teachers or a cool scout activity.

$6.00 K307b  Here is something new in the educational division here at the Rock Shed.  This is a small set of 3 Cactus Quartz Crystals.  Each Crystal measures approximately 1 1/2" to 3" and have not been polished.  These Crystals are often slender Crystal cores with Amethyst tips and are often coated with an orange Hematite natural stain.  These specimens are from the Magaliesberg Mountains west of Pretoria, South Africa.

The buyer will receive three (3) randomly selected Crystals that may vary in color from lavender to white to orange.  Unfortunately there is no choice in color or size, but we do guarantee a good selection.

They are, Amazonite, Quartz, Agate, Alabaster, fossiliferous Limestone, Fluorite, Gold Ore, Marble, Pyrite, Calcite, Jasper, Obsidian, Pumice, Copper Ore, Lava Rock, Selenite, Lepidolite and Variscite.  The kit comes with a write up about sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks.  Each specimen comes in its own bag. This is a great learning  item for kids.
