This is a pretty light Green gemstone Heart carved from New Jade.
It measures 1 1/2" x 1 3/4"x 1" and has a nice polish. Something different
for that special person or to add to the collection. Jade, or Jadeite,
is a Silicate mineral made from a Sodium and Aluminum mix that is usually
found in igneous and/or metamorphic rocks. Jade is as hard as Quartz,
is exceptionally tough, beautifully colored and can be delicately shaped or
carved.

This is a pretty and very unique Ocean Jasper Heart. It measures
2 1/4" x 2"x 7/8" and has a nice polish. Something different for that

This material is a new find from Madagascar. The deposit formed as a rhyolite
flow but has been completely silicified. The Rhyolitic eyes or orbs come in
an astonishing array of colors and color combinations. The back ground can
be white, pink, green, red, or yellow. Botryoidal formations as well as white
and deep green druzy are also common. This deposit has been discovered at
the edge of the ocean. It can only be seen and collected at low tide. The
area has no road so the material must be transported to civilization by boat.
This material is fast becoming a rarity in the Jasper ocean fields, so get
one while it is still available.

This is an extra large, very good quality gemstone Heart carved from Pink
Rose Quartz. It measures 4" x 3 1/2"x 2" and has a nice polish.
A very nice addition to any heart collection. This heart weighs almost
3.5 lbs. There is only one (1) available.
Rose Quartz is a type of Quartz which exhibits a pale pink
to rose red hue. The color is usually considered as due to trace amounts
of Titanium, Iron or Manganese, in the massive material. Some Rose Quartz
contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in transmitted
light.

nearly 2 1/2" x 2 1/4"x 1" and has a nice polish. Something different

Pyrite, or Iron Pyrite, is an Iron sulfide with isometric Crystals
that usually appear as cubes. It is brittle and can break or powder
easily. Its metallic luster and brass yellow hue have earned it the
nickname of "fool's gold" due to many miners mistaken it for the real
thing. Ironically, small quantities of actual gold are sometimes found in
Pyrite. It is the most common of the sulfide minerals and is usually
found with other sulfides or oxides in Quartz veins, sedimentary or
metamorphic rocks

Howlite is a soft and sometimes brittle gemstone. It is usually white
or colorless. It can be translucent in thin fragments. It is associated
with Colemanite, Ulexite, and Bakerite and is found in Borate deposits.
It is usually dyed to simulate real "Turquoise" in jewelry.

Carnelian is a red or reddish-brown variant of Chalcedony but also may
come in the colors of orange and pink. It is quite common and usually
found in translucent pebble form. It is found in several areas of Europe,
Iceland and Madagascar.

Here is something different for the Heart collector. This is a very
nice, above average quality Pakistani Onyx heart. The heart measures
over 27/8" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" and has a nice polish. The heart has typical
Onyx banding colors of light green, tans and brown. There is only one (1)

Onyx is a banded variety of Chalcedony which in turn is a form of Quartz.
The colors of its bands range from white to almost every color except shades
of purple, blue and black. It is used for vases, bowls, beads, cabochons
and other items. The name has sometimes been used incorrectly to label
other banded lapidary materials, such as banded Calcite. This type is
found in Mexico and Pakistan and is often carved, polished and sold.
The material is much softer than true Onyx and much more readily available.

This is a pretty gemstone Heart carved from Petrified Wood. It measures
2 1/4" x 2" x 7/8" and has a nice polish. This material is from
Madagascar.

Petrified Wood is a type of a fossil as it consists of fossil wood where
all the organic materials have been replaced with minerals while retaining
the original structure of the wood. These minerals are most often Silicates
such as Quartz. Other minerals, Manganese, Iron and Copper, in the water
or mud during the petrification process gives Petrified Wood a variety of
color ranges: black - Carbon; green/blue - Copper; red/brown/yellow - Iron.
Petrified Wood can preserve the original structure of the wood in all its
detail all the way down to the microscopic level. Structures such as
tree rings and the various tissues are often observed features. Although
Petrified Wood can be found worldwide, it is rather rare in larger quantities
and at times can be difficult to obtain by the average collector.

Labradorite is a Feldspar mineral that occurs in large Crystal masses
in anorthosite and shows an iridescence or "play of colors." Gemstone
varieties of Labradorite exhibiting a high degree of iridescence are Spectrolite,

are desired for jewelry.

a neat Septarian pattern and a beautiful Aragonite color. Something

Septarian, also know as a type of Concretion, is a volume of sedimentary
rock in which a mineral cement fills the porosity. Concretions are often
ovoid or spherical in shape. They form within layers of sedimentary
strata that has already been deposited. It is composed of a Carbonate
mineral such as Calcite, a Silica such as Chert, Flint or Jasper or an Iron
Oxide such as Goethite or Hematite. It is commonly found in Shale, Siltstones
and Sandstones.

Calcite is a Carbonate mineral that is most widely distributed on the Earth's
surface. It is a common constituent of sedimentary rocks with Limestone
in particular. A Calcite formation can take on many different shapes
and sizes which is dependent on the location, ground water occurrence and
temperature. Calcite is usually white or colorless but can be gray,
red, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown or black. The deeper the color
is usually indicative of the definitive impurities from the earth or water.

Goldstone. It measures 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"x 3/8" and has a nice polish.

Goldstone is a type of synthetic glass made with Copper or Copper Salts
in the presence of a reducing flame. Under normal conditions, Copper
ions meld into the Silica to produce transparent bluish-green glass.
When it cools, the Copper forms precipitates into small crystalline clusters.
The finished product can take a smooth polish and be carved into beads, figurines
or other artifacts suitable as a semi-precious stone and is often mistaken
for a natural material.
