This is a pretty gemstone Heart carved from Picasso Marble. It
measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"x 1/2" and has a nice hand-polish. The Heart
has a nice soft Earth tone colors with White accents.

of Calcite. It is used extensively for sculpture, building materials
and has many decorative uses. The pure white Marble is probably the
most common form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of many
colored Marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such

Marble. It measures nearly 1 7/8" x 1 7/8"x 1/2". This
material is from Utah.

The Heart measures 1 1/2" x 1 3/4"x 1" and has a nice polish. Something

to like item. Unakite is an altered Granite composed of pink Feldspar,
green Epidote and clear Quartz. It exists in various shades of green
and pink and is usually mottled in appearance. Good quality Unakite
is considered a semiprecious stone and will take a good polish and is often
used in jewelry and other lapidary work such as eggs, spheres and carvings.

Here is a unique find!! This is a larger, hand carved Pyrite Heart.
It measures 2 1/4" x 2" x 1" and has a nice hand polish. The heavy-weight
Heart has a sparkly, shiny finish on top of a natural, crystal cavity-like
texture. Pyrite, or Iron Pyrite, is an Iron sulfide with isometric Crystals
that usually appear as cubes. It is brittle and can break or powder
easily. Its metallic luster and brass yellow hue have earned it the
nickname of "fool's gold" due to many miners mistaken it for the real thing.
Ironically, small quantities of actual gold are sometimes found in Pyrite.
It is the most common of the sulfide minerals and is usually found with
other sulfides or oxides in Quartz veins, sedimentary or metamorphic rocks.

Jasper, or spotted stone, is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz
that is usually red, yellow or brown in color. Picture Jaspers
simultaneously exhibit several variants such as banding, flow patterns,
dendrites or color variations. This results in what appears to be
scenes or images in a cut section of the Jasper.

Zebra Marble. This material is from China. It measures nearly

from Crystal Quartz. The Heart measures 1 1/2" x 1 3/4"x 1" and has

common mineral in the Earth's continental crust. It is mainly composed
of Silica or Silica based minerals. Although Quartz is known by a
variety of names, the most important distinction between types of Quartz
is that of macro-crystalline, individual crystals visible to the unaided
eye, and micro-crystalline, where aggregates of crystals are only visible
under high magnification. There are many forms of Quartz including
Chalcedony, Amethyst, Citrine, and Carnelian which are results of mineral
impurities or heat treatments.

This is a pretty gemstone Heart carved from Utah Septarian measuring
nearly 2 1/8" x 2 3/8"x 3/4". Something different for that special
person or to add to the collection. Septarian, also know as a type
of Concretion, is a volume of sedimentary rock in which a mineral cement
fills the porosity. Concretions are often ovoid or spherical in shape.
They form within layers of sedimentary strata that has already been deposited.
It is composed of a Carbonate mineral such as Calcite, a Silica such as
Chert, Flint or Jasper or an Iron Oxide such as Goethite or Hematite.
It is commonly found in Shale, Siltstones and Sandstones.

This is a pretty gemstone Heart carved from Black Agate.
The Heart measures 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1/2" and has a nice polish. Something

to like item. Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks
or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition
of silicates in the lava. The siliceous matter is deposited in regular
layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.

Aventurine is a form of Quartz that is characterized by its translucent
and mineral inclusions that give it a shimmering or glistening effect called
"aventurescence". The most common color is green but it may also be
orange, brown, yellow, blue or grey.

Amethyst is a purple variety of Quartz often used as an ornament.
Upon exposure to heat, Amethyst generally becomes yellow, which some refer
to as Citrine or "burnt" Amethyst. It occurs in color from a light,
slightly pinkish violet to a deep grape purple. It is widely distributed
as an ornamental stone, but fine, clear specimens that are suitable for
cutting are used in jewelry.

oxide. It is a very common material that has a black to steel to silver-grey
color and may also appear reddish brown. Hematite is a heavy metal
and when it is polished it is consider to many to be of gemstone quality.
It is very popular in jewelry and Native American art.
