Here is a very nice, above average quality, larger Septarian Heart
from Utah. It measures 4 1/2" x 4" x 1 1/2" and has a good polish.
This larger heart has a unique shape and design. A great gift for

Septarian, also know as a type of Concretion, is a volume of sedimentary
rock in which a mineral cement fills the porosity. Concretions are
often ovoid or spherical in shape. They form within layers of sedimentary
strata that has already been deposited. It is composed of a Carbonate
mineral such as Calcite, a Silica such as Chert, Flint or Jasper or an
Iron Oxide such as Goethite or Hematite. It is commonly found in
Shale, Siltstones and Sandstones.

Here is an interesting find!! This is a very nice Birds Eye Rhyolite
heart. The heart measures 3" x nearly 3" x 1" and has been hand polished,
therefore close observation would reveal some smaller flatter areas.
This material has a softer composition so it will not hold a shiny, polished
finish. A good catch for the heart collector.

Rhyolite is an igneous, volcanic rock that is composed of Felsic, or
Silicate minerals such as Silica, Aluminum, Sodium and Potassium.
The material is similar to that of Granite, Pumice and Obsidian but due
to the cooling process when formed, Rhyolite did not form any crystals,
thus changing the texture of the material.

Similar to like item. Jasper, or spotted stone, is an opaque,
impure variety of Quartz that is usually red, yellow or brown in color.
Picture Jaspers simultaneously exhibit several variants such as banding,
flow patterns, dendrites or color variations. This results in what
appears to be scenes or images in a cut section of the Jasper.

a metamorphic rock consisting of Limestone but composed mostly of Calcite.
It is used extensively for sculpture, building materials and has many
decorative uses. The pure white Marble is probably the most common
form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of many colored Marble
varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as Clay,
Silt, Sand, Iron Oxides or Chert.

Here is something different for the heart
collector. This is a smaller, above average quality Lapis Heart.
The Heart measures approximately 1" x 1"x 1/2" and has a good polish.
These hearts come from us to you randomly from the bag but are a higher
quality than some we have had in the past. The colors range from
Blue to White to Gold. Some have sparkly Pyrite inclusions and some
have more of a spotted design. Unfortunately there is no choice
in color or design. The Heart you will receive will be similar to
one that is shown in the photo. Lapis is a
stone with a long tradition of being considered a gem. It is usually
deep blue in color and is opaque. It is a rock and not a mineral
as it is made up from various other minerals. The main component
is Lazurite which is a Feldspar Silicate. Lapis may also contain
Calcite, Sodalite and Pyrite. It is found worldwide.

This is a very nice, softly colored Carnelian heart from Madagascar.
It measures 2 3/4" x 3" x 1 3/8" and has a nice polish. The heart has
a pretty White and Reds with a Pink hue background color scheme. Very nice.

Carnelian is a red or reddish-brown variant of Chalcedony but also
may come in the colors of orange and pink. It is quite common and
usually found in translucent pebble form. It is found in several
areas of Europe, Iceland and Madagascar.

above average quality, multi-colored Tiger Iron heart. It measures
1 1/2" x 1 3/4"x 1" and has a super shiny polish. A great

Tiger-Iron is a gemstone that is usually yellow to red-brown in color
with a silky luster. This gemstone has an optical reflectance effect
that arises from the fibrous structure of the material. The physical
and optical properties are identical or very near to those of a single
Quartz Crystal. Although it may look similar to Tiger-Eye, Tiger
Iron is a different composition that includes the material contained in
the heavy mineral, Hematite.

It is a very common material that has a black to steel to silver-grey
color and may also appear reddish brown. Hematite is a heavy metal
and when it is polished it is consider to many to be of gemstone quality.

Peru. This heart measures over 2" x 1 1/2" x 3/4" and has a nice
polish. It has a beautiful color scheme and design. Grab it

Chrysocolla is a mineral of secondary origin and is commonly associated
with other secondary Copper minerals such as Malachite and Azurite.
It is typically found as glassy botryoidal or rounded masses or bubbly
crusts. It has an attractive blue-green color and is a minor ore
of Copper. Chrysocolla is used as an ornamental stone although gem
quality specimens are rare and highly prized.

This is a pretty Angelite heart from Peru. It measures 2" x 1
3/4" x 1" and has a nice polish. This heart has a soft, light Blue-Grey
color with some small, spotted, White accents. A truly beautiful
heart. Makes a great addition to any collection. Angelite,
also known as Anhydrite, is a member of the Calcium Sulfate family.
It is formed in a hot climate and in evaporative deposits of chemical
sedimentary rocks. It alters to Gypsum when dehydrated and is often
associated with Halite and Barite. The name is Greek and means "without
water."

1 3/4" x 1 3/4"x 3/8" and has a nice polish. Something different

like item. Aventurine is a form of Quartz that is characterized
by its translucent and mineral inclusions that give it a shimmering or
glistening effect called "aventurescence". The most common color
is green but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue or grey.
