Here is an interesting find!! This is a very nice Birds Eye Rhyolite
heart. It measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/4" and has been hand polished, therefore
close observation would reveal some smaller flatten areas. This
material has a softer composition so it will not hold a shiny, polished
finish. A good catch for the heart collector.

Rhyolite is an igneous, volcanic rock that is composed of Felsic, or
Silicate minerals such as Silica, Aluminum, Sodium and Potassium.
The material is similar to that of Granite, Pumice and Obsidian but due
to the cooling process when formed, Rhyolite did not form any crystals,
thus changing the texture of the material.

This is a very nice, above average Ocean Jasper heart from Madagascar.
It measures 1 3/4" x 1 7/8" x 1" and has a nice polish. The heart
has an Olive Green base color with Tan and White accents. This
material is a new find from Madagascar. The deposit formed as a rhyolite
flow but has been completely silicified. The Rhyolitic eyes or orbs come
in an astonishing array of colors and color combinations. The back ground
can be white, pink, green, red, or yellow. Botryoidal formations as well
as white and deep green druzy are also common. This deposit has been discovered
at the edge of the ocean. It can only be seen and collected at low tide.
The area has no road so the material must be transported to civilization
by boat. This material is fast becoming a rarity in the Jasper ocean
fields, so get one while it is still available.

This is a pretty gemstone Heart carved from Labradorite. It measures
2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 1" and has a nice polish. This heart has a good
color flash and unique pattern. Something different for that special
person or to add to the collection.

Labradorite is a Feldspar mineral that occurs in large Crystal masses
in anorthosite and shows an iridescence or "play of colors." Gemstone
varieties of Labradorite exhibiting a high degree of iridescence are Spectrolite,
Moonstone and Sunstone. High quality samples with good iridescent
qualities are desired for jewelry.

This is a pretty gemstone Heart carved from Tiger-Eye. It measures
1 3/4" x 1 3/4"x 3/8" and has a nice polish. Something different

like item. Tiger-Eye is a gemstone that is usually yellow to red-brown
in color with a silky luster. This gemstone has an optical reflectance
effect that arises from the fibrous structure of the material. The
physical and optical properties are identical or very near to those of
a single Quartz Crystal.

This is a pretty, above average quality, gemstone heart carved from
Sodalite. It measures 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"x 3/8" and has a nice
polish. The heart has a deep Blue color with White, Black, Beige
and may have some sparkly Pyrite accents. Similar to like item.
Sodalite is a rich royal blue mineral enjoyed as an ornamental stone.
Although massive samples are opaque, Crystals are usually transparent
to translucent. It is very similar to Lapis but with out the Pyrite
Crystals and distinguishable color differences. It makes great jewelry,
cabochons an beads.

This is a pretty gemstone heart carved from Amazonite. It measures
2 1/4" x 2" x 1" and has a nice polish. The heart has a light Turquoise
color with tiny White sparkly accents. A true beauty.

Amazonite is a green variety of Feldspar. The name is taken
from that of the Amazon River, from which certain green stones were formerly
obtained, but it is doubtful whether green Feldspar occurs in the Amazon
area. It is a mineral of limited occurrence but is often associated
with smoky Quartz, Orthoclase and Albite in a coarse Granite or Pegmatite.
Because of its bright green color when polished, Amazonite is sometimes
cut and used as a gemstone, although it is easily fractured.

Here is something different for the heart
collector. This is a very nice, hard-to-find Blue Dumortierite heart.
This material is from Madagascar. It measures 2" x 2" x 1" and has
a nice polish. Definitely something different for the heart collector.
Dumortierite is a fibrous variably colored Aluminum Silicate mineral.
It is a variation of blue Quartz which contains abundant Dumortierite
inclusions. It is used in the manufacture of high grade porcelain.
The mineral is often mistaken for Sodalite and has been used as imitation
Lapis Lazuli.

This is a beautiful, larger, gemstone Heart carved from Rose Quartz.
It measures nearly 4" x 3 1/2"x 1 1/2" and has a soft Pink color. The heart
has been hand polished and may reveal some small divots and flattened
areas which is quite common of this type of material. It is a very beautiful
Heart.

Rose Quartz is a type of Quartz which exhibits a pale pink to rose
red hue. The color is usually considered as due to trace amounts
of Titanium, Iron or Manganese, in the massive material. Some Rose
Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in
transmitted light.

It measures 3" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" and has a good polish. This
large heart would make a super gift or dress up any heart collection.
Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting of Limestone but composed mostly
of Calcite. It is used extensively for sculpture, building materials
and has many decorative uses. The pure white Marble is probably
the most common form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of
many colored Marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities
such as Clay, Silt, Sand, Iron Oxides or Chert.

This is a pretty and very unique Mookaite Jasper Heart. It measures
1 3/4" x 1 1 /2"x 1" and has a nice polish. Something different

There is only one (1) available.
Jasper, or spotted stone, is an opaque, impure variety of Quartz
that is usually red, yellow or brown in color. Mookaite Jaspers
are from Australia and have beautiful shades of reddish pink with tan,
cream, white or yellow colors. It is similar to Wonderstone in that
it is a sedimentary rock and lightweight for the size and structure of
the material. It is considered rare and very beautiful.
