$18.00 LT108c  This is a pretty Sodalite Tea Light Candle Holder.  It measures 5 7/8" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4" and is polished on the topside.  The candleholder has a pretty Blue, Black and White color combination and a very nice design.  A great gift for yourself or that someone special.

Sodalite is a rich royal blue mineral enjoyed as an ornamental stone.  Although massive samples are opaque, Crystals are usually transparent to translucent.  It is very similar to Lapis but with out the Pyrite Crystals and distinguishable color differences.  It makes great jewelry, cabochons an beads.

$15.00 LT109b  This is a very nice Tea Light Candle Holder made from Green Aventurine.  This light measures 5 1/2" x 4" x 1 1/4".   

Aventurine is a form of Quartz that is characterized by its translucent and mineral inclusions that give it a shimmering or glistening effect called "aventurescence".  The most common color is green but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue or grey.

$40.00 LT112c  This is a pretty Rose Quartz lamp.  It measures 7 1/4" x 3 3/4" x 3 1/2".  This light has a natural, rough exterior with a beautiful Pink and White color.

Rose Quartz is a member of the Quartz family that exhibits a pale Pink to Rose Red hue.  The color is usually due to the trace amounts of Titanium, Iron or Manganese in the mass material.  Some Rose Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in transmitted light.  An all time favorite at the Rock Shop.

$85.00 LT110b   Here is a very pretty White Selenite lamp resting on a polished Orthoceras Fossil slab.  It measures 14 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 5" and it is in its natural form and has not been polished.  It comes with a light and cord.  A true beauty to behold.

Selenite is a Crystalline variety of Gypsum.  It is often transparent and colorless.  If the Selenite Crystals show translucency, opacity and/or color, it is caused by the presence of other minerals and many be "druzy".  Selenite often appears to have a "cat's eye" appearance especially with the polished variety.  It will often magnify images when the translucency is very clear.

$20.00 LT100b  This is a pretty dark Mango colored Tea Light Candle Holder made from Salt Crystal. This light measures 3 1/4" x 4" x 3 1/2".  This candle holder comes from the Himalayan Mountains in Pakistan.

Salt Crystals are naturally occurring rocks that have been formed by nature millions of years ago and mined deep underground from some of the tallest mountains, the Himalayas.  This specific type of Salt is hand crafted and carved to make lamps, light and designs ranging in several colors such as white, pink, peach, beige and orange.

$43.00 LT113c  Here is a very beautiful Amethyst lamp.  It measures 5" x 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and has small areas of White Calcite to accent the Amethyst.  This lamp comes complete with a lighted cord.  Very pretty!!

Amethyst is a purple variety of Quartz often used as an ornament.  Upon exposure to heat, Amethyst generally becomes yellow, which some refer to as Citrine or "burnt" Amethyst.  It occurs in color from a light, slightly pinkish violet to a deep grape purple.  It is widely distributed as a mineral, but fine, clear specimens that are suitable for cutting as ornamental stones.

$20.00 LT101c  This is a pretty Tea Light Candle Holder made from Fluorite.  This light measures 3" x 3 1/2" x 2".  It has a beautiful light Green color with nice White accents.  

Fluorite, also known as fluor-spar, is a mineral composed of Calcium Fluoride.  It is a widely occurring mineral and is often found with metallic minerals such as Galena and Sphalerite, but also with Barite, Quartz and Calcite.  It may fluoresce strongly in ultraviolet light.  Although blue is the most common color, it can also be red, purple, green, yellow and white.

$18.00 LT102c  This is a pretty Peach Tea Light Candle Holder made from Salt Crystal. This light measures 3 3/4" x 3 3/8" x 3 1/8".  This Tea Light Candle Holder is made from the Salt Mines in the Himalayan Mountains of Pakistan.

$15.00 LT103b  This is a pretty Tea Light Candle Holder made from a polished slab of dyed Brown Brazilian Agate with a white center that sets on a Black metal Tea Light stand.  The slab measures 2 7/8" x 3 5/8" x1/8".  The metal base measures 2 1/8" x 3 1/2".

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in the lava.  The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.

Calcite is a Carbonate mineral that is most widely distributed on the Earth's surface.  It is a common constituent of sedimentary rocks with Limestone in particular.  A Calcite formation can take on many different shapes and sizes which is dependent on the location, ground water occurrence and temperature.  Calcite is usually white or colorless but can be gray, red, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown or black.  The deeper the color is usually indicative of the definitive impurities from the earth or water.

$6.00 LT18c  Here is a very nice, rustic looking Chinese Marble heart Tea Light Candle Holder.  It measures 3 5/8" x 3 3/8" x 1 1/2".  It is dark Gray and Black in color and has a mottled design.  It would make a very nice gift

Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting of Limestone but composed mostly of Calcite.  It is used extensively for sculpture, building materials and has many decorative uses.  The pure white Marble is probably the most common form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of many colored Marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as Clay, Silt, Sand, Iron Oxides or Chert.
